Activity Minutes Calculator

How many minutes of activity did I get?

Enter your minutes for the week to see the total and the daily average.

About this tool & how to use it

What it does

Adds up a week of walking, running, cycling, strength and other activity minutes and shows the total and the daily average beside the CDC reference figure.

How to use it

  1. Enter the minutes you did of each kind of activity this week.
  2. Enter the number of days you were active.
  3. Read the total first, then the daily average and the average on an active day.

Your answer will appear here.

Fill in the form and your answer appears here as you type.

How it works

Total = walking + running + cycling + strength + other minutes. Daily average = total / 7. Average on an active day = total / active days.

The page prints the CDC reference of 150 minutes of moderate activity a week (CDC page read 2026-10-04) next to your total. It does not say whether you meet it, because that also depends on intensity.

Nothing is saved.

Formulas and details
  • Total minutes = sum of the five entries.
  • Daily average = total / 7.

Assumptions

  • The minutes are yours. The page does not know how hard they were.
  • The CDC figure is a reference. It is not a target set for you.
  • Everything you type stays in this page. Nothing is sent or saved.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: You entered 250 minutes of activity this week: about 36 minutes a day. Over your 5 active days that is about 50 minutes on each.

Questions

Does it say if I meet the guideline?

No. The guideline counts moderate and vigorous minutes differently, and you know the intensity better than this page. It shows the figure so you can compare.

Do strength minutes count toward the total?

They are added to the total here. The CDC guideline treats muscle-strengthening on its own terms, which the page notes.
