One click answer

Your answer will appear here.

Fill in the form and your answer appears here as you type.

How it works

Ratio = waist / height. A 34-inch waist at 68 inches tall is 34 / 68 = 0.50.

The units cancel, so inches and centimeters give the same ratio.

The page gives no category or cutoff, because no health-authority page with such cutoffs was read.

Formulas and details
  • Waist-to-height ratio = waist / height.

Assumptions

  • The measurements are yours. The ratio is only as good as the measuring.
  • It is not a diagnosis and says nothing about health.
  • Everything you type stays in this page. Nothing is sent or saved.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: Your waist-to-height ratio is 0.50. That is your waist (34.0 in) divided by your height (68.0 in).

Questions

What is a good ratio?

The page does not say. Cutoffs were not read from a source, so it shows the ratio and leaves the meaning to you and your doctor.

Where do I measure my waist?

Follow the instructions of the person or source guiding you. The page only divides the numbers.
