How it works

Daily total = the four entries added. Week = x 7. Year = x 365.

10 hours a day is 3,650 hours a year, which is about 152 full 24-hour days.

It is time arithmetic only.

Formulas and details
  • Hours a year = daily hours x 365.

Assumptions

  • The hours are your estimates of an average day.
  • The page does not predict any health outcome and does not say how much sitting is too much.
  • Everything you type stays in this page. Nothing is sent or saved.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: You entered about 10 hours of sitting a day: about 3,650 hours a year, or 152 full 24-hour days. That is about 70 hours a week.

Questions

Does this say sitting is bad for me?

No. It adds up the hours you enter. It makes no claim about health.

Do the hours have to add to 24?

No. Sitting is only part of the day. Where Did My Day Go? shows a whole day.
