Weight Trend Tracker

Which way are my weigh-ins heading?

Paste your dated weigh-ins to see the overall change and the trend per week.

About this tool & how to use it

What it does

Takes dated weigh-ins in any order and shows the overall change and the best-fit trend per week. Nothing is saved.

How to use it

  1. Choose pounds or kilograms.
  2. Enter one weigh-in per line as a date and a weight, in any order.
  3. Read the change from the first entry to the last, then the trend per week.

Dates such as 2026-09-06 or 9/6/2026, in any order. Nothing is saved: your list stays in this page, so keep your own copy.

How it works

The overall change is the last entry minus the first by date.

The trend is a least-squares line through all the entries: the slope in weight per day, times 7.

A line through every entry is steadier than the first-to-last difference when one day is unusual.

Formulas and details
  • Trend per week = 7 x least-squares slope of weight against date.

Assumptions

  • The entries are yours. The page does not smooth, estimate or fill in days you skipped.
  • It never says what a weight should be.
  • Everything you type stays in this page. Nothing is sent or saved.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: Across 5 entries over 28 days, the first and last entries differ by 2.6 lb (1.4% down). The trend line through all the entries runs about 0.55 lb a week down.

Questions

Why a trend line?

A single weigh-in moves from day to day. A line through several shows the direction more steadily.

How many entries do I need?

Two are enough for a change, and a few more make the trend more useful. Entries on different days are required for a weekly trend.
