Nutrition Label Calculator

What did I actually eat?

Enter the values on the label and how many servings you ate to see the totals for your portion.

About this tool & how to use it

What it does

Multiplies the values on a nutrition label by the servings you ate to show the calories and nutrients in your portion.

How to use it

  1. Enter the servings you ate. Add the serving size as written, if you like, so it appears in the answer.
  2. Enter the values from the label for one serving: calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat, fiber, sugar and sodium.
  3. Read the calories first, then every total.

Just a note for the answer: the numbers below are per serving.

Such as 1.5 or 2.5. Half a package of a 4-serving package is 2.

How it works

Each total = the value per serving x the servings you ate. 150 calories a serving and 1.5 servings is 225 calories.

The FDA label page says every amount on the label refers to one serving, so the number you eat changes what you take in.

A blank value stays blank. It is never treated as zero.

Formulas and details
  • Total = value per serving x servings eaten.

Assumptions

  • The label values are the ones you type.
  • Labels round their values, so totals can differ slightly from the exact content.
  • Everything you type stays in this page. Nothing is sent or saved.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: You ate about 225 calories. That is 1.50 servings (a serving is 1 cup (240 g)), each value on the label multiplied by 1.50.

Questions

What if I ate half a serving?

Enter 0.5.

Does it say if the amounts are high or low?

No. The Daily Value Calculator does that, using the FDA 5% and 20% marks.
