How it works

Your weekly minutes are split across finding openings, tailored applications, reaching out to people, interview preparation, follow-ups and building a skill. The split is a fixed table that shifts with your answers.

Applications are the application minutes divided by 45 minutes each. Conversations are the outreach minutes divided by 30 minutes each.

With more experience, more time goes to people than to applications. With interviews scheduled, more goes to preparation. When work is urgent, skill building is dropped.

Assumptions

  • The counts are targets to plan with, not predictions. Nobody can promise interviews or offers, and searches take different lengths of time.
  • The minutes per task are assumptions and the counts change if your pace differs.
  • Nothing you enter is sent or stored.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: With 10 hours a week, aim for about 5 tailored applications and 4 conversations, plus time to prepare and follow up.

Questions

How many applications should I send a week?

It depends on your time. The plan shows how many tailored applications fit, at about 45 minutes each. Fewer, better-fitted applications usually serve you better than many copies.

How many hours a week should a job search take?

There is no single answer. Full-time searchers often spend many hours; people who are working may have only a few. Enter what you can spare.

Will this plan get me a job?

No. It organizes your time. It does not predict or promise results.
