How it works
Characters are counted as Unicode characters, not UTF-16 code units, so an emoji or an accented letter counts as one.
"Without spaces" removes every space, tab and line break before counting.
Platforms such as X and SMS can count characters differently (for example, some emoji count as two). Treat this as a general count and check the platform’s own limit when it matters.
