Everything is calculated in your browser: the prices and numbers you enter are never sent anywhere or stored. We do not know any store's prices or tax rates, and these results are arithmetic, not advice to buy.

How it works

Bottled per month = cost x bottles per day x 365 / 12: $1.20 x 3 x 30.4 = $109.50.

The reusable bottle costs $25 once and $4 a month, so each month saves $105.50 and it pays for itself in about 0.24 months.

Assumptions

  • This compares costs only. It makes no claim about health or the environment.
  • A month is counted as 365 / 12 days.

Example

Input: The starting values already in the form

Result: The reusable bottle would pay for itself in about 0.2 months.

Questions

If it costs less per month than the bottled water you replace, it pays for itself. The page shows when.

What if I use a filter?
