Is This Person Real?

Verify the story, not just the profile. Say how you met and what you have checked, and see what is confirmed, what is not, the warning signs and what to check next.

About this tool & how to use it

What it does

Walks through how you met someone online and the evidence you have, then shows what is confirmed, what is not and the warning signs. It is not a people search and never calls anyone safe or a scammer.

How to use it

  1. Say how you met them.
  2. Answer the questions about video, their photos, their story, anything you confirmed yourself and any request for money, secrecy or private photos.
  3. Read what could be confirmed, what could not, the warning signs and the next checks.

One click answer

Answer the questions and your assessment will appear here.

Everything is read in your browser: what you type or choose is never sent anywhere, stored or shared, and no link is opened. This is an organized summary of what you report, not a verdict, and it cannot tell you for certain whether something is true.

How it works

Your answers are counted as things confirmed and warning signs. The result is one of five: information appears consistent, some information confirmed, inconsistencies found, significant warning signs, or not enough information.

Any request for money, gift cards, crypto, account access, passwords or codes gives the result "significant warning signs" and the message STOP AND VERIFY BEFORE SENDING ANYTHING, whatever else you entered.

Tips change with how you met: dating, marketplace, business, a job offer, an investment and so on.

Assumptions

  • This is not a people search or a background check. It looks no one up, identifies no one from a photo and keeps no record.
  • A photo found elsewhere is a warning sign, not proof. A live video call is evidence, not proof.
  • It never calls anyone safe, dangerous, criminal or a scammer, and never gives a score.

Example

Input: Met on a dating app, nothing checked yet and no request for money

Result: Not enough information. This reflects only what you reported, and says nothing about who the person is.

Questions

Can I enter a name and see whether a person can be trusted?

No, and no honest tool can. This checks the evidence you have gathered about the story, not the person's identity or record.

What if they threaten me or ask for private photos?

Stop contact, keep the messages and tell the platform, your bank or payment provider, and the police. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.

They asked for money. Does that prove they are a scammer?

One request does not prove anything about a person, but do not send money, gift cards, crypto or codes to someone you cannot confirm. Verify first, through a channel you trust.

Is anything I choose saved?

No. It stays in your browser and is not stored, sent or shared.
